T.R.E.E. (Trees Restoring Earth's Ecosystem) is a thriving community known as the "Walking Trees," uniting individuals who share a deep commitment to the preservation and rejuvenation of our planet’s ecosystems. Our mission is to act as stewards of nature, dedicating our efforts to the conservation of natural resources, as well as the protection and restoration of plant, animal, and insect populations. Through our partners, hands-on education, and active involvement, we aim to deepen the collective understanding of nature’s intricate systems and inspire a lifestyle that harmonizes with the environment.

Our Core Focus Areas:

1. Soil Rejuvenation:
   - Healthy soil is the foundation of a thriving ecosystem, and we prioritize soil restoration techniques that aim to bring vitality back to degraded and polluted lands. Our soil rejuvenation initiatives include:
     - Composting and organic matter enrichment: Educating the community on creating nutrient-rich compost to restore soil health, and encouraging natural processes that improve soil structure, fertility, and biodiversity.
     - Regenerative agriculture practices: Implementing sustainable farming techniques such as crop rotation, cover cropping, and no-till farming to restore soil nutrients, improve water retention, and combat erosion.
        - Soil testing and monitoring: Regularly conducting soil quality assessments to measure organic content, nutrient levels, and microbial health, ensuring our interventions are effective.

2. Survivalist Skills Training:
   - Emphasizing the importance of self-reliance and sustainable living, we equip our members with practical survivalist skills that foster a deeper connection with nature while enhancing resilience:
     - Water sourcing and purification: Teaching techniques to locate groundwater, identify safe natural water sources, and use various methods for purifying water, such as boiling, natural filtration, and solar disinfection.
     - Shelter-building: Educating on how to construct durable shelters using natural materials found in the environment, considering factors like weather, terrain, and available resources.
         - Firecraft and natural fuel gathering: Demonstrating various fire-starting methods, including friction, flint-and-steel, and solar techniques, along with knowledge of gathering and storing natural fuel sources.

   - Understanding plant ecosystems is essential for restoring and maintaining biodiversity. Our plant study initiatives encompass:
     - Native plant cultivation: Promoting the growth of native species that support local wildlife, pollinators, and soil health, while discouraging invasive species.
     - Seed saving and propagation techniques: Teaching methods for collecting, preserving, and propagating seeds to ensure the longevity of diverse plant species, particularly those that are rare or endangered.
     - Medicinal plant uses and herbal remedies: Providing knowledge on identifying plants with healing properties, as well as traditional and modern applications for health and wellness.

     - Reforestation and afforestation projects: Planting native trees and shrubs to restore deforested areas, enhance carbon sequestration, and rebuild wildlife corridors.
     - Community-driven stewardship: Encouraging local communities to participate in the management of preserved lands, fostering a sense of shared responsibility and ownership.

In partnership with Harbor Solar, we offer guidance on installing solar panels, optimizing energy usage, and accessing incentives for solar adoption. This collaboration ensures that our members are equipped with the knowledge and resources needed to make sustainable energy choices that align with our mission to preserve and restore the Earth's ecosystems.
