My name is Diana, and I have Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), which I have been living with since I was a teenager.
A few years ago, I also discovered that I have excess acid in my stomach, which made it difficult for me to eat and drink normally.
I often felt upset, with stomach aches, headaches, and overall discomfort.
Most of the time, I suffered from constipation, and sometimes from diarrhea.
Over the years, I tried changing my diet several times, and I finally decided that a vegan and gluten-free diet works best for my health and digestion.
I stopped taking medicine (unless it’s truly necessary) and stopped using laxative pills.
Changing my diet wasn’t easy, I had to give up many things I really loved to eat or drink, but my health was more important to me than any food or drink.
Today, I feel much better when I stick to my diet. Sometimes I choose to enjoy foods or drinks outside my plan, and while it can cause discomfort, I have learned to accept and manage it.
