🏁 Origin
Founded in 2024, in Lisbon, by Daniel Almeida, Active Hive was born out of a passion for sports and the realization that spending hundreds of euros every month on sports is unnecessary. By combining resources within the community, we can enjoy the sports we love and discover new ones at little to no cost.

🎯 Mission
Our mission is to promote sports and activities by the community, for the community. Anyone can suggest an activity they love and find companions to join them.

🏀 Activities
We promote all kinds of sports and activities imaginable! From playing volleyball on the beach to birdwatching in nature, anything goes!

👫 Target Members
Active Hive is for everyone in Lisbon, whether residents or visitors, and for all ages. We organize events divided by skill levels so everyone can have fun — whether you're trying a new sport for the first time or are highly experienced and looking for competitive play.

💰 Donations & Support
Active Hive is a non-profit community sustained through donations, operating with TOTAL transparency for all members. Our goal is to acquire sports equipment and other necessary tools to promote our activities. Here's how donations are utilized:
Sports Equipment: We purchase essential items like balls, nets, rackets, and other equipment for various activities.
Activity Tools: We acquire tools such as annual licenses for trail planning apps like Footpath, which are available exclusively for organizers.
Resource Sharing: We encourage resource sharing among members, ensuring everyone has access to the tools and equipment needed to plan activities.
