Bank Indonesia sues Najwa Shihab for the statements she made live during interview with Basuki Tjahaja Purnama.
During the live broadcast of the show "Curhat Bang", a serious scandal broke out between the host Basuki Tjahaja Purnama and the guest "Ahok Mata Najwa" Najwa Shihab. During the heated discussion, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama questioned the truthfulness of Najwa Shihab’s words, calling her a liar right in front of thousands of live viewers. In response to the incident, the TV channel's "tidak sengaja" management decided to remove the interview from the air, refusing to comment on the situation and the behavior of its anchor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama.
