How to use: - Input values in the fields marked in pale yellow 1) Key in the Free Cash Flow (take from annual report / Yahoo Finance / any reliable data source) 2) Enter Growth Rate (I decide based on the average) 3) Enter Terminal Growth Rate (I use 3 - 5% to be conservative) 4) Enter Discount Rate (input based on prevailing treasury bills yield or overall opportunity cost e.g. S&P returns typically 6-8%) 5) Enter Cash, Debt, Shares 6) Enter Market Value 7) Enter your desired Margin of Safety (usually 15 - 30%) A more detailed tutorial is also within the file. When I can't decide on what growth rate is realistic, I use the growth rates table (bottom right) to help me visualize what the stock value will look at per different growth projections, and then determine the best estimate from there.
