Why I Wrote A Walk Through Healing

I got diagnosed with chronic high blood pressure which brough on so much anxiety, fear and shame.

I wrote this collection during seasons when I didn’t know how to explain what I was feeling — only that I needed gentleness.

Poetry became my way to breathe.
To name what hurt.
To honour what was breaking and what was rebuilding.

These poems are pieces of my own healing —
shared in the hope that they might hold you too.

Meet the Author — Jacqui

Is a mom, a mindfulness and meditation teacher, and a woman who has walked through her own seasons of overwhelm, loss, and becoming again.

Through poetry, mindfulness, and gentle self-care, she learned that healing doesn’t require force — it asks for presence.
