About Nucleus
The Nucleus story
Kian Sadeghi dropped out of the University of Pennsylvania in 2021 to found Nucleus. Sadeghi has raised over $18 million, led by Reddit founder Alexis Ohanian and Peter Thiel’s Founders Fund, to bring the future of health to you, starting with your DNA.
It’s a mission inspired by tragedy. In 2005, Sadeghi’s 16-year-old cousin died suddenly in her sleep of what was suspected to be long QT syndrome, a rare congenital heart disorder. Sadeghi’s parents told Kian it was “bad genetics.”
Today, Nucleus is the most comprehensive and accurate at-home DNA test in the U.S. Their clinical-grade analysis predicts your risk for the most common cancers, heart diseases, neuropsychiatric diseases, and more.
Unlike traditional DNA tests, Nucleus whole-genome sequencing analyzes nearly 100% of your DNA, so you can prevent disease and live longer.
Sadeghi and Nucleus have been featured by Illumina, TechCrunch, Morning Brew, and others.
