Smt. Uma Nambudripad Sathya Narayanan is a renowned Bharatanatyam artist and senior disciple of Smt. Chitra Visweswaran. She has received the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar and Kerala Sangeet Natak Akademi Award. She is a trained vocalist, nattuvangam expert and heads Vishuddhi Arts, a school for advanced training in natyam and sangeetham. She is an empaneled artist with ICCR and a graded artist with Doordarshan, and a member of Abhai (Association of Bharatanatyam Artists of India). Uma is a noted soloist who has performed and conducted workshops internationally.
