Prepare for birth and the early postpartum weeks in a calm, evidence‑based, and culturally respectful way, together with the people who will actually support you. This private Lamaze series combines birth preparation, breastfeeding support, and postpartum planning in one gentle, practical package.
This course is for you if you want to:
Feel informed, confident, and supported during labor, birth, and the first weeks with your baby.
Involve your birth and postpartum support team (partner, female relatives, doula, close friends) in a structured, meaningful way.
Blend Gulf or other family postpartum traditions with up‑to‑date medical evidence and Lamaze’s Healthy Birth Practices.
What’s included (6 × 90‑minute sessions):
5 prenatal sessions (live online) to cover:
How labor usually begins and progresses, and the Lamaze Healthy Birth Practices.
Movement, positions, touch, and comfort measures that can help labor be more manageable.
Communicating with your care team and making informed decisions that match your values.
Skin‑to‑skin, early breastfeeding, newborn care basics, and realistic postpartum planning.
1 postpartum session (booked after birth) to:
Review your birth story and answer new questions.
Support breastfeeding or chest‑feeding, milk supply, and baby’s behavior.
Adjust your postpartum rest and support plan as real life unfolds.
Format and logistics:
Six private online sessions, about 90 minutes each.
Teaching in English, with optional simultaneous interpretation or prepared subtitles when requested at least 48 hours in advance.
Your birth and postpartum support team is welcome to join; different members can attend different sessions or catch up with recordings/materials if needed.
