You keep being nice.
You work well with others.
You keep showing up like a people-pleasing, do-no-wrong, agreeable dream...

But here’s what they see:

Agreeable=easliy defeatable.

In the audition room, in the interview chair, in life —
the more you bend over backward to fit in,
the more they assume they can break you down to size.
That you’ll fold.
That you’ll follow.

That’s not confidence.
That’s compliance.
And nobody’s giving the lead role to the one who already looks ready to roll out.

And that little extra bit you did cleaning up?

Red Flag! The second they sense that you're going to need their approval/ Rest assured you'll be #1 in line for removal

This is why Day 1 matters.
This is where we are going to identify the box you've been placed in. That were assigned to you early on from either family friends or relationships. Time to name it, call it out, and decide that's just not me anymore! You're not here to stand in line again. You're not asking for permission. you This time you have arrived in true table flipping real housewives style!

💥 DAY 1: NAME THE BOX

So I hope I lit a little fire for you in Lesson 1. I hope so! You'll ne that momentum now for what's next. Tale as old as time. Baby is cute and fragile when you, baby is born.so they must protect you:

You were taught to survive, not to soar.
They told you to be polite.
You'll never be a lawyer if you can't behave.
Or... to try and be more careful.
You can't be a nurse if you are the one who sick all the time.

When you showed the slightest signs of wanting to do something else?
They said you need to decide you can't keep changing your mind.
Perhaps you should stay home for awhile
It will be tough out there for someone like you 
These plans of yours are just too wild

But why?
Because all of the plans they made for you 
Made THEM feel safe.
Made THEM happier
Made their lives easier
But BABEeeee…
Did you hear all that?

All. The. THEMS. 👀 Are you starting to see that the rest of your life doesn't belong to THEM. It belongs to someone else. This is just too important and I have to be sure that you do know who the rest of your life belongs to. So I want to re-introduce you to somebody.

YOU.

I want you to grab a mirror — handheld, bathroom, phone screen — doesn’t matter. Because we need to open up your eyes so your mind can see.

We’re about to say 3 simple things into that mirror — because the mirror?
It can’t lie.

Now listen:
This might not feel natural. Not at first. It takes practice.

In your mind’s eye, I want you to picture this:

Your words leave your right eye

Enter your reflection’s left eye

Travel across to your reflection’s right eye

And return back into your left eye

🌀 See it?
That’s a loop. And it matters.

Refer to the illustration if needed.
(But trust — you’ve already got the map inside you.)

Now, out loud or in your head, repeat this loop:

Are You Me?
Yes.
Am I You?
Yes I Am.

Three times. No more. No less.

If a voice in your head just said,

“WTF, this is dumb…”

👊 Mentally throat punch that voice.
(With love, of course.)

Then begin again.

That’s all you need to know.
That’s all you need to do.

For now.

DAY 2: They Weren't Prepared For a Butterfly!(but a caterpillar can't stay one forever)

You're probably still spinning from what the hell just happened in front of that mirror.That’s okay. You were supposed to.

See, that mirror loop exercise? It wasn’t just a funhouse trick or an existential party game—it was intentional. Part of it was a bit of distraction, but more than that, it was my way of wrapping you in something new. Not a box. Not a label. Not an old story.

A cocoon.This is where we reframe safety.

Not the kind of safety that cages you in or convinces you to shrink. This is the kind of safety where you’re still, where you’re held, and where something inside you starts to change—even if you don’t fully feel it yet.

You’re in the cocoon now. And while you're safe and listening...I want to tell you a story.You see, I coach some exceptionally talented kids at a place called the New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts, or NOCCA for short. It’s a school for students who eat, sleep, and breathe creativity.

These kids? They’re ridiculously gifted. But talent’s never the whole story.

With most young creatives comes an overdeveloped sense of self-awareness. One day, I was walking down the sidewalk with a student who had this in spades. Talk about a people pleaser. Clinical level. And what's worse I could see how it was paralyzing.

Head whipping around. Eyes scanning. Mind racing.

“OMG, I knew I should’ve worn different jeans.”
“Why didn’t I cut my hair like that guy?” “They’re looking at me weird—should I’ve smiled?”

Every passerby became a measuring stick.
And right before I got more uncomfortable than he was, I stopped.

“Listen,” I said. “I’m about to say something that might sound harsh. But I either need to say it—or you need to hear it. Maybe both.”

Deep breath. And then:

“All these people walking towards you? They don’t give a shit about you.”

He blinked.  Encouraging. So I kept going.

“Not because you don’t matter—but because they’ve got their own lives. Their own issues. Their own insecurities.They are not studying you.

And truthfully, I’m a little shocked at how much energy you’ve invested assuming they are.”

I pointed up at the sun.

“You see that big fireball up there? It’s shining down on about three billion other people right now. On me. On all of us.You’re not that special.”

I smiled. So did he. Then I walked him to the corner of the block.

We turned the corner, and as far as the eye could see was
the Mississippi River, stretching all the way to the Gulf.

" Come look at this," I said. "What do you see?"

I too looked again and and for a moment i was lost in the vast expanse before us and in my mind I thought to myself. 'looks like freedom to me.'
What I thought was his voice brought me out of my daydream and I said, "I'm sorry , what was that you said?"
"I didn't say anything." I turned away from the river now and tried to say hey it's not nice to tease your-he was already walking away and as he turned with a big grin on his face he said, "but to answer your earlier question? I was thinking to myself looks like freedom to me!'

 as I said they're completely stand thinking did he just say what I think he...but right then the the sun setting hit the reflective straps of his backpack, and for a brief moment it looked like two butterfly wings sprouting from a freshly torn cocoon.

I didn’t know how he’d take what i said to him that day.
But it turned out, and not so surprisingly,  I could see he was relieved, not wounded.And that’s the real lesson here.

Sometimes life gives you a lens that enables you to see a situation through a different window. So you see through that window and where  are you saw was a Cage or a cocoon, now you see a compass. Even though you don't know how to use a compass you are creative. There's also this strange tugging deep down inside and just like a butterfly that doesn't know yet he has wings to fly that feeling in your gut tells you you just have to try. About that tugging deep down inside do you know what that is? That feeling in your gut is called instinct. And you're going to have to learn really soon to trust your gut because believe me they will come a day when you will find that your instinct is all you have. But I can tell you this if you truly trust it will be enough.

chapter 3: The Cocoon: A safe Space. Not the Old Place

Hey look—you made it.
Chapter 4. The final push.
Now the fun really begins.

Oh I'm sure some of you are thinking
Fun? This guy must be delusional. You would be correct.
However, It’s none of my business what your thinking about me. 😏
But that delusion part?
You’d better make damn sure you’ve got a healthy dose of your own.

Let’s talk about that old adage, you know the one...
Fake it until you make it?

Yeah, you’ve heard it.
But hopefully by now, you’re starting to see it’s more than a cliché.
It’s a requirement. A tool if you will.

Here’s why:
There will come a day—and it will come faster than any before—when you will walk into a room that you don't belong in yet. A room for those more advanced than you are today. 

I don't mean that you “feel out of place.”
Not imposter syndrome.
I mean literally and objectively out of your league.

And yet...
Somehow you know: this is your moment.
You need this win.
There’s no way to go back This is your now.

That’s why this chapter isn’t about confidence.
It’s about conviction.

Because if you still carry a low opinion of yourself—
How the hell can you expect anyone else to have a higher opinion of you? Right about now you aren't needing the opinion of you to be like years higher than it really is.

So this is the moment where you decide:
You’re ready. I'm ready. This my only choice.
And more importantly—
You’re ready to stay that way.

Because if you stay ready,
you don’t have to get ready.By now, you’ve been shown a different way to view the world—
a world that used to feel like it was only viewing you.

But look at you now...

You’ve peeled off the labels.
You’ve stared down the mirror.
You’ve crawled out of the box, punched through the cocoon,
and stood eye-to-eye with your instincts.

You’re not waiting for permission.
You are not standing in someone else's line.

I want to take this opportunity to give you your flowers.
And remind you that in just four days, you’ve also been handed and handled beautifully:
