It’s been a long time since we thought about the idea of creating a new community challenge. One that could make us all better changemakers💚

Today, we’re starting our free 5-Day Plastic-Free Challenge, to celebrate the end of #PlasticFreeJuly. 

This challenge aims to share ideas for swapping out single-use plastic products for reusable, planet-friendly alternatives. ♻️🚯🥤

Why This Challenge?

Our previous community action, a LinkedIn post chain, was a phenomenal success. More than 100 comments with good ideas for reducing plastic waste! 🙌

We really appreciate your participation and commitment. 🤝

We gathered invaluable insights from your feedback, which inspired us to continue our collective journey toward tackling climate change and other global issues. ✍️

Introducing The 5-Day Plastic-Free Challenge:

🔥 What: 5 days with 3 swaps per day of single-use plastic products
📆 When: Starts today, but you can join later too.

For five days, we’ll focus on simple, practical swaps that can significantly reduce our reliance on single-use plastics. Here’s what you can expect each day:

Day 1: Say Goodbye to Plastic Bags 🛍️

Swap plastic bags for reusable shopping bags. We will give you 2 more ideas for your grocery shopping to avoid single-use plastic. Discover them by joining the challenge!

Day 2: Ditch the Plastic Bottles 🍼

Replace single-use plastic bottles with a reusable water bottle. Again, for the ‘On-the-go’ moments, we will share 2 extra ideas that you can’t miss when packing for an outdoor activity.

Day 3: Hands-On at Home 🧼

Reduce chemicals and toxins from your cleaning products. Learn how to DIY or which brands can offer you a better solution for keeping your home clean.

Day 4: Take care of yourself and the planet 🧴

Replace hundreds of cosmetics and personal care items for less harmful products made with natural ingredients. We recommend three swaps that you can easily do at home with your family!

Day 5: Everyday use of kitchen products 🧃

Mens sana in corpore sano. Transition to zero-waste kitchen products, like a silicon baking liner with endless uses. How many disposable baking papers (which have silicone on them for the non-stick properties) do you use in a year?
