🧠 EVENT DESCRIPTION
When someone is experiencing psychosis, we anchor them to a shared reality.
When someone is living with dementia, we step into their perceived world to preserve trust.
Confusing the two can escalate behavior.
Understanding the difference can prevent it.
This focused 1-hour professional training teaches healthcare staff how to distinguish between dementia-related behaviors and psychosis — and how to respond safely using the PMAB-TGS Neurobehavioral Crisis Framework.
The goal is simple:
Prevent escalation.
Reduce trauma.
Avoid unnecessary restraint and seclusion.
Violent Behavior is often the result of unmet needs.
This training equips you to recognize those needs early and respond with clinical confidence.
