Note - This is an update for Students enrolled in the ongoing Internship Batch (Start date - 13th August 2023) and is eligible for the exam as per the criteria previously shared. The list of eligible interns for the exam will be released on 27th October 2023.
Dear Interns,
We hope this message finds you well. We are pleased to inform you about the upcoming internship exam, which is scheduled for 28th October 2023 (Saturday). To ensure that you are adequately prepared, please take note of the following important information and instructions for the exam.
Exam Schedule:
- Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) Exam: The MCQ exam will take place from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm IST.
- Practical Exam: The practical exam will be held from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm IST.
Practical Exam Setup:
- OVA File: An OVA file required for the practical exam will be shared with you before 2:00 pm IST. Please download it in advance.
- Folder Password: The password to access the OVA file will be provided at 6:00 pm IST. Make sure to have it ready.
- Practical Exam Start: You can begin setting up your practical environment and start working on the exam at 6:00 pm IST.
- Submission: The deadline for submitting your write-up with Proof of Concepts (PoCs) is 9:00 pm IST. In your report, please provide details on the browser, operating system, and tools you used during the practical portion, including every step after setup.
Requirements for OVA File:
- You will need either VMware or VirtualBox software.
- Ensure that you have at least 10GB of storage available on your hard disk.
- Allocate 1-2GB of RAM for the OVA file.
- Your network connection should be set to "bridge" mode.
Setting Up Your Attacker Machine:
- You can use VMware, VirtualBox software, or your host system.
- We recommend using a Linux system, but Windows is also acceptable.
- Set your network configuration to "bridge."
Important Note:
Copying reports from others will result in disqualification. In the end, you must include an image of your screen, taken with your mobile device, showing the attacker machine shell and the reading of the root_flag.txt. This image must be submitted via the provided Google form.

Low Configuration Users:
For those with low system configurations, you can increase virtual RAM using a pendrive with the following steps:
1. Plug in your pendrive.
2. Right-click on the pendrive and go to "Properties."
3. Click on "ReadyBoost."
4. Assign 1GB or 2GB of RAM as needed.
