What if di nagwork dahil iba perfect match mo? 📚

The other day, nabasa ko itong journal entry ko from January 2019.

“Is the timing right?”

“Am I cut out for this?”

📖 Story Time for Context:

Meron akong health tech startup noon called Valea Health. I was a first-time tech startup founder, and nagsimula ‘yun dahil ‘yung college thesis ko, nag-evolve into a startup (Electronics Engineer nga po pala ako). First it was HeartSmart, then naging Valea Health.

Nung nabasa ko itong sinulat ko sa journal ko noon, natawa na lang ako ngayon hahaha. Kasi wuw, drama yarn? Hahahaha. Jk.

Dear 2019 Gia, just some updates from 2024 You:

1. Working in other people's startup as employee: not for you, you barely lasted 2 months. 😂 NOPE.
   
2. Lots of other options you tried, who knew you could do those? Who knew you'd handle an accelerator program, be a content creator, etc?
   
3. After all that you've tried though, you realized that nothing's quite the same as building a tech startup. It's still your ikigai. So you dropped everything else (again), and went all in (again). With more wisdom and self-trust this time around. Higher highs, lower lows. But you're managing better.
   
4. And this time, it feels like a roller coaster ride AND like getting lost in the woods. 😅
   
5. The journey “template” more or less looks the same?

Actually dahil dun sa journal writing ko, na-realize ko na never naman pala talaga mawawala ung mga ganitong hanash sa buhay ‘no?

'Yung self-doubt, 'yung what ifs - kahit saang stage ng buhay mo, lalabas at lalabas pa rin. Ang kaibahan lang, mas alam mo na kung paano haharapin.

Obviously, hindi nag-work ung health tech startup ko before. Nag-fail siya, and I had to let it go.

💡 BUT HERE'S THE THING..

✨ I am at peace with the journey, because kung hindi nangyari yun, edi sana wala ako dito ngayon. ✨

I realized na that maybe, I just had to go through that journey for the lessons..

..so that I can apply those lessons to the one that is the perfect match for me.

So hindi man nag-work dun sa una, mas mataas na 'yung chance na ipa-work 'tong meron ako ngayon, dahil may experience na ko at learnings with my previous mistakes. 🙂
