When I first started selling online in 2007, I honestly didn’t know anything at all.
Multiply.com era pa 'yun! (Sino sa inyo na naabutan pa 'to? Hahaha, my age is showing. 😅)
Wala pang online shopping platforms.
I had to create my own store via WordPress.
Then, GCash was just via SMS! Western Union? Mainstream mode of payment pa nun!
And when it came to couriers? Iisa lang ang may pickup and drop-off na door-to-door service—Xend!
Fast forward to today, eCommerce is already a norm. Lalo na after pandemic.
Andami na bigla ng platforms! Andaming service providers, payment methods, delivery options..
Sobrang dali na mag-start ng online business today.
Pero ayun na nga, dahil ang dami na, the real challenge is..
How do you stand out?
Labanan ngayon? Strategy, quality, tactics—and of course, execution.
Isa ka ba sa mga gustong masubok ang online selling of books, pero takot magsimula?
What if magkaroon ka ng free access to a Bookpreneur 101 course?
What if magkaroon ka rin ng mentor or business coach who can help you out and guide you throughout your journey?
Hmm.. What if? Abangan 🔜

For now, sharing with you some of my top-of-mind tips if gusto mong mag-stand out in selling books online!
Shop books per kilo at BookSpine Kilo Corner along Quezon Ave., Quezon City, near Welcome Rotonda. 📚 We have fiction, non-fiction, Filipiniana, textbooks, reviewers, college books, children’s books, coffee table books, cookbooks, bestsellers, spiritual books, business books, and so much more!
Nung nag-start ako magbenta online, wala akong alam, but one thing I quickly learned: your brand name and logo matter!
Is your book collection all about cozy romance, or are you into thrillers and mysteries?
Whatever your style, your name and logo should reflect that—kung sino ka and what your collection stands for. It’s the first thing people will remember about you!
Make it fun, unique, and something that will stick. You want them to see your name and think, "Uy, kilala ko yan!"

Hindi ka lang basta nagbebenta ng books—you’re selling YOU.
Your store should feel like you, whether through your book descriptions, social media posts, or even how you package your orders.
Kung bubbly and quirky ka, let that shine! Add cute jokes, handwritten notes, or stickers sa packaging.
Kung mas on the sleek and professional side, make sure your layout reflects that. Gawin mo siyang extension ng personality mo—kasi people connect with authenticity!
––
Ito na yung secret sauce—engage with your customers!
Talk to them, ask them what kind of books they’re looking for. Tanungin mo sila directly: "Anong gusto mong basahin next?"
Make them feel like they’re part of the conversation.
Send a quick message after they buy, or ask for feedback. The more you show na you care, the more loyal sila magiging!
––
Packaging pa lang, dapat may "wow" factor na.
Add a little something to make them smile—whether it’s a personalized note, a cute sticker, or a fun bookmark.
People love sharing their unboxing experience, lalo na pag special and thoughtful yung packaging mo. Social media promo? Check!

Don’t be afraid to show the real you through social media.
Host a live selling session on TikTok or share a book recommendation on IG stories. Kwento ka lang! People love seeing the person behind the store.
The more personal, the more memorable. It’s about building connections, not just selling books.
So go live, have fun, and let people see how passionate you are!
