About Challenge

Build the brain first. Then load it with content.

A 4-week intensive program designed by a Filipino cognitive neuroscientist, to prepare your child's brain for consequential exams - before review season begins.

For High School students.

April 20 – May 18, 2026

3 sessions per week (on Monday, Wednesday, Friday)

12 Total Live Sessions in Zoom

90 minutes per session (10:00AM–11:30 AM)

THE REAL CHALLENGE

Your child is smart. But smart is not always enough on exam days.

You already know your child is capable. The grades are there. The effort is there. You are already budgeting for a review center. Maybe you have already picked one. But here is what most review centers will not tell you:

Content knowledge is only half the equation. The other half is whether your child's brain can actually deliver that knowledge under exam conditions. Four hours of sustained focus. Dozens of questions per section. Time pressure that turns familiar material into blank stares. Anxiety that makes a prepared student perform like an unprepared one.

Review centers teach the content. But they assume your child can already:

  • Sustain sharp focus for three to four hours without fading
  • Hold multiple steps of a problem in working memory without losing track
  • Retrieve studied material under time pressure (not just recognize it in a textbook)
  • Manage exam anxiety so it sharpens performance instead of destroying it

For many students, these assumptions are wrong. And when they are wrong, even the best tutors or review center in the country cannot fix what happens on exam days.

THE SOLUTION

NeuroPrep trains the four cognitive skills that determine exam-days performance.

1.  Sustained Attention: Train your child's brain to maintain focused concentration across the full duration of a multi-hour exam without the fade that costs points in the final sections.

2. Working Memory: Build the capacity to hold and manipulate multiple pieces of information simultaneously - the skill that separates students who solve complex problems, from those who lose track mid-question.

3. Retrieval Under Pressure: Practice pulling studied material from memory under timed conditions. Recognition is not the same as recall. Exams test recall.

4. Exam Anxiety Protocols: Learn evidence-based techniques that channel pre-exam anxiety into sharpened performance instead of letting it shut down access to what your child already knows.

NeuroPrep is not a review center. It does not teach math, science, or English. It builds the cognitive infrastructure that makes content review actually work. Students will spend 4 intensive weeks training the four performance pillars that separate students who know the material from students who perform on exam days.

By the end of this innovative and unique program, students will have a personal exam-days protocol: A written, rehearsed plan covering what to do the night before, the morning of, between sections, and if panic hits mid-exam. This is the deliverable they carry into the new academic year and to the reviewer season.

Program Format

Built for the April-May vacation window. One program that changes how students performs under pressure.

This cohort is designed for students whose school break falls in April through May, placing the program before the new school year or review season begins - arriving with a stronger, exams-ready brain.

YOUR FACILITATOR

Designed and facilitated by Amelia Enginco-Figueroa, a Cognitive Neuroscientist

MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience (Université de Fribourg, Switzerland). BS Psychology Cum Laude (De La Salle Lipa, Philippines).

Amelia lived and studied in Switzerland for 10 years, has direct experience as a school guidance counselor managing up to 900 students, and was a university lecturer (undergraduate and graduate) in the Philippines. She is a certified psyCH trainer (Switzerland).

This is not a program designed by a tutor or a reviewer. It is designed by a cognitive neuroscientist who studies how the brain learns, remembers, and performs under pressure. Every session is built on peer-reviewed cognitive neuroscience research, adapted for high school students preparing for consequential exams and for the most competitive university admission exams.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is this a review center?

No. NeuroPrep does not teach subject-matter content. It trains the cognitive skills (attention, working memory, retrieval, anxiety management) that determine whether students can actually use the content they learn at school, with tutors or through a review center. Our program is complementary, not competing.

What grade level is this for?

Students in Junior or Senior High School preparing for consequential exams, university admission exams, or any high-stakes academic exams. The cognitive skills trained in this program apply regardless of the specific exam.

My child's school break starts later. Is there another cohort?

Yes. We run cohorts aligned to the three major vacation windows in the Philippine school calendar. If a student's break falls in June or July, a later cohort will be available. Contact us for the schedule.

What if a student misses a session?

Every session is recorded and available on the program platform within 24 hours. Students can catch up before the next session.

Do students need any special equipment to join?

A stable internet connection and a device with a web browser (laptop or tablet). Everything else is provided within the program platform.

How is this different from other programs?

Other programs tell students to "focus" and "stay calm." NeuroPrep is an innovative program that trains the specific neurological mechanisms that enable focus and calm under exam conditions. Every protocol comes from cognitive neuroscience research, not general advice.

Spots are limited to maintain the quality of live interaction in every session.
