What is an On-Hire Labour Agreements (OHLA) :
This stream of the Subclass 482 visa is ideal for companies who are not eligible to the Standard Business Sponsorship.
An On-Hire Labour Agreement (OHLA) is a formal arrangement negotiated between an approved business and the Australian Government. It allows a company like Talent on the Move to facilitate the sponsorship of overseas workers on a Subclass 482 visa and then on-hire them to the end company. This mitigates any employment or visa risk for the end-user, as the On-Hire organisation is both the Sponsor and the Employer of Record. The OHLA is an alternative option to the Standard Business Sponsorship (SBS) when engaging a 482 visa holder.

Eligibility requirements for an On-Hire Labour Agreement (OHLA):
Under an on-hire labour agreement, a person must meet the same eligibility requirements of a Subclass 482 visa.
Requirements :
• Meet a minimum English language level (unless from an exempt country).
• Have a relevant degree and at least 2 years relevant work experience in their nominated occupation or a related field. In some circumstances, 5 years of relevant work experience can replace tertiary study completed.
• Meet health and character requirements.
• Be nominated to work in a specified occupation under the terms of the Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations (ANZSCO) List.
• Be employed full-time in Australia.
• Paid a salary that is equivalent to what an Australian would receive for the same work according to the Annual Market Salary Rate (AMSR). The base annual salary must not be less than 20% above the rate of Temporary Skilled Migration Income Threshold (TSMIT) of AUD $73,150, ie. $87,780.
• The employment contract must be structured encompassing all employment conditions as per Fair Work Legislation, including statutory superannuation and leave entitlements. Any conditions relating to the visa can also be included.
