Join a 6-week guided program blending trauma-informed approach, neuroscience, and somatic tools to reclaim your peace and power after your divorce. You do not need to figure it all yourself. Fast track your healing with Sylvia!
If you’re here, you may be doing all the “right things” — showing up for work, holding things together, and being there for everyone else. But inside, you might be: Feeling emotionally overwhelmed or easily triggered Overthinking and replaying conversations, decisions, and “what-ifs” Carrying guilt, anger, grief, shame—or feeling emotionally numb Struggling to sleep, relax, or feel safe in your body Trying to “move on” but still feeling stuck. You feel like a fog clouding your head, and it can't seem to go away. That was me , soon after my divorce. If you are feeling like I did, you are not failing; you are not weak. This is what happens when your nervous system and heart have been through chronic stress and loss. As a trauma therapist myself, I started to use what I know about trauma healing into my own healing process. And I developed this framework after coming out of my divorce, where I used the methods and tools to help me and others heal after the divorce, so you don't have to spend months or years stuck in emotional pain. 6 weeks | Small group (max 5) | Guided by Sylvia Tan Next cohort starts 14 January 2026 (Online)

Program Highlights
SELF is a healing framework based on science backed methods
SELF is not just “talking about your problems,” and it’s not motivational coaching. It is a structured, trauma-informed healing pathway that integrates: -Nervous system regulation -CBT-informed emotional processing -Core belief work ( to release core beliefs that no longer serve you) -Future-self rebuilding (so you move forward with confidence and direction 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝟭 — 𝗦: 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗲 (𝗡𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆) Before we work with thoughts or emotions, we build safety in the body. You’ll learn grounding and somatic exercises to reduce overwhelm and regain steadiness. 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝟮 — 𝗦: 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 (𝗗𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁) We turn regulation into something you can rely on. You’ll build a sustainable support routine and learn how to prevent emotional build-up instead of holding everything in. 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝟯 — 𝗘: 𝗘𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗖𝗕𝗧-𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗱) Once safety is established, we use CBT principles to process emotions gently and practically. You’ll learn how thoughts, emotions, and behaviours interact—and how to interrupt unhelpful loops without invalidating your feelings. CBT in SELF is used to support emotional processing—not to dismiss emotions or force “positive thinking.” 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝟰 — 𝗟: 𝗟𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗼 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗳𝘀 We identify core beliefs that no longer serve you (often shaped by past experiences and survival strategies). You’ll be guided to understand where they came from, how they influence your life today, and how to gently release what you’ve outgrown—so new beliefs can form with compassion and choice. 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝟱 — 𝗙: 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 & 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 Divorce and major endings often shake identity and confidence. You’ll rebuild self-trust, clarify boundaries, and begin shaping a future aligned with who you are now. 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝟲 — 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻 We consolidate everything into a personal roadmap. You’ll leave with your SELF plan—tools, practices, and guidance for what to do when emotional waves return.

About Sylvia
Hi, I'm Sylvia Tan, a Counselling Psychologist and Divorce Coach based in Singapore. I have over 20 years of experience supporting adults, parents, and children through divorce, grief, trauma, and major life transitions across family court, social service, and private practice settings. I had my own divorce in 2024, after 21 years of marriage in an unhappy and verbally abusive marriage. Having gone through a difficult marriage, and embarked on my own healing process, I experienced first hand how challenging healing after divorce is because of the trauma I had been through. Hence, I have developed this framework to help those who had experienced abusive marriage, or very challenging and painful divorce want you to know that you are not alone and healing is possible, and it does not have to be long-drawn if you have the road map and tools to guide you. I look forward to supporting you in your healing journey! Yours sincerely. Sylvia
Stories of Transformation after SELF
Going through a divorce was one of the most emotionally difficult experiences of my life, and I’m deeply thankful to have had Sylvia supporting me through it. As a Singaporean male navigating separation, I needed someone who could understand both the emotional and cultural complexities of my situation. Sylvia offered exactly that. From our first session, she created a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental space where I felt truly heard. Her use of the SELF method—which focuses on Self-awareness, Emotional regulation, Letting go, and Forward movement—was transformative. It helped me process my emotions, rebuild my confidence, and regain clarity during a time of deep uncertainty. Sylvia doesn’t just listen—she empowers. Her guidance helped me reconnect with myself, manage emotional overwhelm, and take meaningful steps toward healing. I left each session feeling more grounded and hopeful. If you're going through a divorce or emotional trauma, I wholeheartedly recommend Sylvia. Her professionalism, warmth, and insight make her an exceptional psychologist and coach.

Thank you Sylvia for your time and effort to help me out through this difficult time in my life. Your slides and explanation help to understand what I am going through and how my body reacts to it. This session regarding coping mechanisms gave me hope, that I can slowly but surely learn how to slow down my thoughts and I will use your advice to change my thinking. You are a really good and calm listener, it helps a lot. You are open to share your own experience and it's good to receive the help from the person who went through the same experience.
