🌿 BGO Health & Wellbeing Series: Hampstead Heath Stroll
January can feel like the longest month in the calendar. Dark mornings, cold air, busy brains. So we’re doing something simple, grounding, and very BGO: a lovely stroll around Hampstead Heath.
This is not a hike, not a race, and definitely not a “how fast can you power-walk” situation. It’s a chance to unwind, de-stress, and connect with your BGO family while we let nature do what it does best: calm the nervous system and quieten the noise a little.
Come as you are. We’ll walk, chat, breathe, and hopefully leave feeling a bit lighter. 🍃✨

❓FAQs
- Is this a hike or a fitness session?
Nope. It’s a gentle stroll focused on wellbeing, connection, and fresh air. - How long is the walk?
We’ll keep it comfortable and flexible. Expect a proper wander with pauses, then food after. We’ll be finished latest 4pm. - Where exactly are we meeting?
10:30am outside Hampstead Heath Overground Station (Mildmay line). We’ll grab a coffee to go before heading off. - What pace will we walk at?
Relaxed and social. We’ll stick together, regroup when needed, and no one gets left behind. - Do I need walking boots?
Yes please. Walking boots or grippy winter footwear are a must. The Heath can get muddy and slippery in January. - Can I bring my dog?
Yes, friendly dogs are welcome. Please keep them under control and be mindful around other walkers/dogs. - What if I’m feeling anxious / low / not very chatty?
That’s completely okay. You can be quiet, you can chat, you can just walk alongside. The vibe is supportive, not performative. - Is this event beginner-friendly?
Very. If you can comfortably walk for a couple of hours with breaks, you’ll be grand. If you’re unsure, come anyway and we’ll keep it gentle. - What happens if it rains?
We’ll still go ahead unless it’s genuinely grim or unsafe. Dress for the weather and bring a rain layer. - Do I need to book or pay?
No ticket needed for the walk itself. Just bring money/contactless for coffee + food after.
