Dr. Sharon Baisil is an Associate Professor of Community Medicine and Assistant Medical 
Superintendent at MOSC Medical College, Cochin, Kerala. He is passionate about using 
technology to improve healthcare and well-being, demonstrated by his work as an app 
developer, entrepreneur, and author. He is also the AI Course Faculty under Neonatal 
Neuro-Critical Care Education of the University of Calgary, Canada. 
With 10 innovative health-focused apps on the Google Play Store, his work primarily 
addresses non-communicable diseases and mental health. Notably, his app for deaf 
rehabilitation earned him the Best App Award for community rehabilitation from the 
Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the United States. Recognizing the need for 
accessible information on diabetes nutrition in India, he created the 'Beat Diabetes' platform, 
garnering a million annual visitors and winning the 'Best App of the Year' Award from 
Healthline in 2022.
Dr. Sharon is also a published author, having co-authored public health textbook chapters. 
and books on diabetes management. His work has been recognized with numerous awards. 
including the Best Medical App in India from Google and the Best Depression App award 
from Healthline. He is also the CEO of Kronotome, a startup focused on empowering 
researchers and writers with AI tools.
Dr. Sharon has trained over 8000 medical faculty and researchers across 32 countries on 
AI-based research and app development, in collaboration with prestigious organizations and 
institutions including All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Hamad Medical 
Corporation, JIPMER and Indian Institute of Science (IIS).
