As a manger you probably heard that you should have a one-on-one meeting with each of your directs.
Maybe you heard that this meeting is not about status updates. (Sometimes, it *should* be!)
Maybe you heard that this meeting should be *their* meeting, not yours. (Not true!)
There is a *lot* of information out there.
There is one critical thing missing.
Why.
Why do we even have 1:1s?
Join us for this interactive session as I share a framework that will change your approach to 1:1 meetings.
Whether you are a new manager or an experienced manager of managers, I promise that you will learn something new and useful.
About Your Host
I managed teams at Meta, Amazon, and smaller startups. I am obsessed about 1:1 meetings. At one point in time, I had 17 separate 1:1 meetings. Every week. I kept asking myself: "Is this a good use of my time?" and "Was this session useful for my direct?" And over time, I found some common patterns.
Over the past few years, I talked with over a hundred different managers and experts. I learned how they leverage their 1:1 meetings. I read dozens of management books. I dove into the literature in professional magazines.
I built and refined a model of what excellent looks like for 1:1 meetings. This model then enables multiple frameworks, run-books, and templates.
Working closely with many dozens of managers across industries, company sizes, and geographies, I know that this system works.
I am excited to share it with you!
