In this workshop, you’ll learn how mindful breathing calms the stress response, lowers inflammation, and supports better thyroid hormone balance. Discover how simple techniques can ease fatigue, improve mood, and help your body shift from “fight or flight” into true healing mode. No pills, no side effects. Just the power of your own breath supporting your body. Sofia Casini brings over two decades of experience to her somatic healing practice, drawing upon the many lessons she learned while assisting survivors of abuse, injustice, and war with trauma-informed interventions and wellness-based techniques. At first, her attempts at preventing PTSD, vicarious trauma, and burnout were only partially successful and too often met with chronic stress and anxiety. On a personal level, this led to a serious immune condition due to the ongoing strain placed on the emotions and body. After years of carrying the weight, she found breathwork. This powerful somatic tool became a lifeline in helping to release unprocessed trauma, to proactively manage stress and anxiety, and for healing on her own journey. The Safe to Heal Breathwork Session was born out of a desire to contribute these tools for the well-being of others, offering tangible support in a way that centers on the body's and soul’s inner knowledge, resilience, and capacity for healing.
