Paul LeJoy is a licensed real estate and mortgage broker based in Silicon Valley, California, where he has lived since 2001. Originally from a tiny jungle village in Cameroon, Africa, Paul has lived in Europe, Asia and North America. Paul graduated with honors in Radio, Film and TV Production at Christ Church University in Canterbury, England in 1988. He earned his Master's Degree in International Relations from the University of Kent, Canterbury. Intrigued by the economic process of the Four Dragons of East Asia (Taiwan, Singapore, South Korea and Hong Kong), Paul moved to Taiwan in 1992. He intended to be in Taiwan for only a year and head back to Cameroon to work in TV. Instead, his 1 year became 7 years. At the time, 72% of all computers were made in Taiwan and Paul was in love with computer technology. In 2001, he moved to Silicon Valley, California, and has been here ever since.

Paul bought his first home in California just 1 year after moving to the Golden State. Two years later, he bought his second home, no money down, cash back at closing. Then in April 2005 he obtained his real estate license. In 2007, he got his broker's license. In 2009, while there was attrition in the real estate industry, Paul's company grew. In 2013, he bought and sold 31 properties. In 2017, he founded a mortgage company. 

Paul has been in the real estate and mortgage industry over 20 years and knows this industry like the back of his hand: sales, fix and flips, and development. So, what you read from Paul comes from his first-hand experience. While in Taiwan, Paul wrote and published 3 months. In 2012 he wrote and published It's Impossible to be Poor in America.
