チャレンジについて

If negotiation feels harder than it “should,” you’re not alone.

This space is for people who don’t struggle with knowing what to say —
they struggle with the moment before they say it.

The pause.
The hesitation.
The instinct to protect the relationship or just get it done.

That’s what we talk about here.

What this group is

The Reluctant Negotiator is a private discussion space for thoughtful professionals who want to talk honestly about the moments they avoid in negotiations — and why.

This is not training.
This is not tactics.
This is not about becoming tougher.

It’s about awareness, language, and shared experience.

Who this is for

This group is for you if:

  • You care about relationships and fairness
  • You replay negotiations afterward thinking “I should have said something”
  • You avoid certain moments not because you’re unprepared, but because they feel risky
  • You want better outcomes without posturing or bravado

Many members come from procurement, engineering, operations, or leadership roles — but titles matter less than mindset.

What we do here

In this group, we:

  • Name the moments we tend to avoid
  • Talk openly about pressure and hesitation
  • Share reflections (not fixes unless invited)
  • Normalize the experience of reluctant negotiation

You’re welcome to participate actively or quietly observe. Both are welcome.

What we don’t do

To keep this space useful and safe, we don’t:

  • Teach tactics or scripts
  • Critique how someone “should have” handled a situation
  • Posture, perform, or one-up
  • Turn this into a sales or promotion space

Advice is offered only when someone explicitly asks for it.

FIRST WEEK PROMPTS (SCHEDULE THESE)

🟦 Day 1 Prompt

Think of a recent negotiation moment you almost addressed — but didn’t.

You don’t have to share details.
Just answer this if you’re comfortable:

What made that moment feel risky?

(Short replies are perfect.)

🟦 Day 2 Prompt

Many reluctant negotiation moments aren’t about skill — they’re about pressure.

Which one shows up most often for you?

• Timing
• Relationships
• Internal expectations
• Something else

(No explanation required unless you want to add one.)

WHAT TO DO RIGHT NOW (SO YOU DON’T OVERTHINK)

  1. Paste the invite page copy
  2. Add the one-sentence description
  3. Pin the welcome post
  4. Schedule Day 1 and Day 2
  5. Stop

Do not:

  • Invite yet
  • Explain the group
  • Add more prompts

You’ve already posted on LinkedIn — that’s enough signal for today.

When you’re done, just say:

“Nas.io is set up.”

Then we’ll decide the very next calm step.

make the invite copy page a word document
