Immigrant women in their mid-20s who are new to Canada, especially in Vancouver, and whose English is not strong enough, want to build friendships and expand their network. I want to bring together local women in their mid-20s who are interested in learning about different cultures and making new friends.
The goal is to connect these two groups of women to build meaningful friendships, learn from one another, and help each other feel less lonely and isolated in Vancouver.
For example, they can connect by cooking together, sharing traditional Afghan food, music, and dance. This would create a space where Afghan immigrant women in their 20s can share their culture, and Canadian women who are interested can learn about Afghan culture while building genuine friendships. Organizing an entertainment event for the New Year we call Newruz (March 21st):
Afghan immigrant women in their 20s will share Afghan culture through cooking, music, and traditional Afghan dance. The event will also help improve English skills, build friendships with local women in Canada, and create a supportive networking community.
It will also give local Canadian women in their 20s the opportunity to learn about Afghan culture and build meaningful friendships within the community. 
Making friendships in Vancouver is hard. Life is very fast, and people who immigrate often have a difficult time making friends. Immigrant women can feel lonely and isolated, and many want to improve their English.
Canada has many immigrants, and local women can also have a hard time building friendships. Some of them want to learn more about newcomers in Canada and connect with them.
