The world is going through chaos and intense revelations. Amidst the major shifts in the socio-political landscapes, the rapid emergence of confronting events and dominance of technology into our daily lives, we are also faced with multiple changes in our personal circumstances. Given all of these things happening all at once, our nervous system has gone into overdrive, and we are living from a place of heightened stress, survival, exhaustion and fragmentation.
Grounding Back Home is an invitation to slow down and stop the downward spiral and fluctuations within ourselves. This is NOT a fitness challenge. Instead, this is a refuge designed to help us navigate the collective chaos by returning to our physical and energetic center – the part of us that will arrange our lives magnetically so that the exact experiences we need in order to fulfill our spiritual purpose are drawn towards us.
The Foundations of Traditional Yoga
In a world where Yoga has been advertised to be a sweaty flexibility workout, we are returning to its authentic roots where it is all about spiritual evolution. Traditional Tantric Hatha Yoga, as a science, focuses on inner expansion, truth, healing and unity.
Why Now?
When we go through major life changes, we often feel overwhelmed, scattered and lost - physically, emotionally, spiritually and mentally. And apart from talk therapy, we need a complementary physical practice to go with it.
The Age of Aquarius possesses a collective shaking and upheaval in the quest for Freedom and Independence. On top of this, we are in the year of the Fire Horse, where there is increased intensity in the air, heated confrontation and rapid movement going at an increasingly alarming rate. These are made known to the public through a plethora of platforms and mechanisms designed to get our attention, stimulate our minds, consume most of our time and energy, taking us further away from our true nature, our home base.
As you get overstimulated and overwhelmed, your nervous system switches to parasympathetic mode — fight, flight, freeze, fawn.
This challenge prompts you to move beyond the chatter and the chaos, to make space for yourself, to check-in, to slow down your breath, to still your mind, and ultimately to REMEMBER that part of yourself that is pure, eternal and free.
This challenge will re-claim your sovereignty, and help you stay grounded even when everything around you is shifting and shaking.
