Hey,
I see so many people make the same mistake over and over again.
And today, I need to talk about it!
Whenever I see creators who want to build a community, their default line is:
“Join my email list”.
OR
“Join my newsletter”
They normally set up a MailChimp.
They pay $100 / month.
And then they start collecting emails.
There is one fundamental issue with this flow:
Emails are so 1995.
It’s an ancient form of communication.
Email do not allow for instant messaging.
Email do not allow for engagement events.
Email do not allow for hosting exclusive content.
Emails do not help you monetize.
Emails get low open rates.
And worst of all,
Emails will go away in the next few years and get replaced by instant messaging apps like WhatsApp.
I can go on and on.
That’s why you should NOT start an “email list”
Instead, you should aspire to Grow a Community.
A Nas.io community is like an email list on steroids.
Yes, you can email people from a Nas.io community,
But you can also run online events,
Integrate with WhatsApp for members to chat,
Make money from selling digital memberships,
Upload private content,
and share things on a private feed for members.
These additional features help you keep your community more ENGAGED.
Take for example, THIS community.
Yes, I am using Nas.io to send you this email.
But I’m also using the same Nas.io to get analytics on where you’re from.
I’m using it to host weekly Educational webinars.
I’m using it to host digital content for you for free.
I’m using it to sell digital products.
And so much more.
The promise is that you get this ALL IN ONE.
That’s why we call it a Community and not an Email List or Newsletter.
It’s your own Private Space to engage members, entertain them, or educate them.
I hope more people realize that an email list is a 1995 phenomenon that is not enough in the year 2023. :)
And that…my friends…is why you need Nas.io!
Hope it makes sense, and see you next Tuesday!!! :)
