Description

Welcome to This Mini-Course (1-2 hours)

This mini-course was written for every parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, foster carer, and caregiver who loves a child and wants to protect them. Regardless of where you live, what culture or faith tradition you come from, or what language you speak at home, the goal of this course is the same: to give you the knowledge, language, and practical tools to keep the children in your care safe.

These issues do not belong to any one culture, country, income bracket, or religion. They occur in every society on earth — in high-income and low-income countries, in urban neighborhoods and rural villages, in secular households and deeply religious ones. It crosses every boundary we might use to tell ourselves 'this doesn't happen in families like ours.'

What does differ across contexts is how openly communities talk about it, how well children are equipped to recognize and report it, and how effectively families and institutions respond when it occurs. This mini-course is designed to move you and the communities around you toward greater openness, better preparation, and more effective response.

How to Use This Course

Work through each module in order — they build on one another. Each module takes approximately 15 to 25 minutes to complete.

You will find in-depth explanations, research citations, cultural case studies, conversation scripts, psychological exercises, and community action steps.

Pause whenever you need to. Reflect before moving on. Write your answers in the reflection sections.

Return to this course as your child grows — the conversations shift with age, and revisiting this material every year or two is valuable.

Share this course freely with other caregivers in your community. The more parents who are equipped, the safer all children become. Join the community of proactive parents today.

Please note that this is an educational resource and not a replacement for professional therapy or police reporting.
