The Trecena of Aj is a 13-day ceremonial portal in the Chol Q’ij Mayan calendar — a time to reconnect with your spiritual foundation, your sacred purpose, and the ancestral rhythm that lives in your body, mind, heart and soul.

Aj is the energy of the corn.
It is the body, the spine of the people. It is the grounding force of our being. The corn represents the foundation of life in the Mayan culture — nourishing not only the people but anchoring us deeply into our physical body. It is the food that builds us, the root that sustains us, the sacred thread between Earth and form.

Aj teaches us that true power grows from the ground up — through consistency, clarity, humility, and rooted service to something greater than ourselves.

In this cacao dieta, we walk alongside two ancient plant teachers:
