BGO MONTHLY SOCIAL
This time with a Free Talk to kick off the evening: “The Power of the Gay Community” 💜✨
Thurs 5th March | 7pm till late
We’re kicking off the evening with a 45–60 min talk from Marc Svensson (BGO Board Member + our Mental Health & Wellbeing Director) on:
“The Power of the Gay Community: The Good & Harmful”
A real, honest conversation about how our community can be a lifeline (chosen family, safety, creativity, solidarity)… and also how it can sometimes create pressures around body image, masculinity, sex, success, substances, and visibility. The aim: name it without blame and move towards cultures of care that actually sustain us.
After the talk, it’s social time:
🍕 Papa John’s next door (pizza orders welcome)
🍸 2–4–1 cocktails all night
💬 Chat, connect, decompress, be your full self.
Free to attend, but as a non-profit, any contribution on the night is hugely appreciated (hosts will be collecting card payments only). Every pound helps keep BGO events happening. 💖
