🎨 BGO Life Drawing Night 🌈
Join us for another session of sketching and socialising with the BGO community. Whether you’re a regular at these nights or picking up a charcoal stick for the first time, the atmosphere is relaxed, supportive, and entirely focused on having a good time.
We’re returning to The Great North Wood to draw our regular model, Claudio. There’s no formal instruction, so you’re free to work at your own pace and in your own style.
What’s provided: We supply all the essential materials: paper, pencils, charcoal, and drawing boards. You just need to show up and settle in.
The Venue: The bar will be open throughout the evening. If you’re hungry, the pub has a full menu available—it’s a great spot to grab a bite and catch up with everyone before we start.
❓ FAQs – BGO Life Drawing Night
1. Do I need to be good at drawing? Not at all. This isn't a masterclass. It’s a social event where we happen to be drawing. We have members of all skill levels, from total beginners to people who draw regularly.
2. What should I bring? Nothing. We provide all the paper, boards, and drawing tools you'll need.
3. How do I pay? The fee is £30. Please make the payment via the Nas group associated with this event to confirm your spot. We have to pay the model and the venue in advance, so your place is only secured once paid.
4. Who is the model? We’ll be sketching Claudio, who has modelled for us before. He’s a professional nude model and very experienced.
5. What is the schedule? The drawing starts at 7:00pm sharp. We usually have a short break midway through to stretch our legs and head to the bar. Most of us arrive around 6:00pm to eat and chat first.
6. Can I get a refund if I can't make it? Because we have fixed costs for the model and the room, we generally can't offer refunds. However, you are welcome to find another member to take your place and have them pay you directly.
7. Is the venue easy to get to? Yes, it’s just a 2-minute walk from West Norwood station.
8. What’s the general vibe? It’s a friendly, low-pressure evening. It’s as much about the social connection with the BGO group as it is about the art.
